One of the state’s oldest manufacturing companies has opened a huge, new advanced manufacturing technology center in downtown Hartford.
New Britain-based Stanley Black & Decker opened a “Manufactory 4.0” at Constitution Plaza in a space that used to be a bank branch.

It houses a team of experts focused on accelerating the company’s adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and working with kids and parents to show them that there is a future in manufacturing jobs.
The CEO of the company said they are hoping to help Governor Ned Lamont with his vision to make Connecticut the “Silicon Valley of manufacturing.”
