Stolen vehicle stop leads to drug charges in Hartford

A stolen vehicle stop has led to drug charges for two people in Hartford.

According to officials, on Monday around 11:45 a.m., officers on patrol in the area of Ward Street and Wolcott Street conducted a motor vehicle stop after spotting a suspected stolen vehicle.

During the investigation, police confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Massachusetts.

The occupants, 21-year-old Sylverster Williams of East Hartford and 21-year-old Dartagnan Walker of Hartford, were apprehended without incident.

They were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and other related charges.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
