Police in Suffield are looking to identify a dog that was left abandoned in a park.
According to officials, on Thursday around 12:30 p.m., the dog was found tied up on a trail in Stony Brook Park on South Street.
Authorities said there were visible signs of neglect and suspected abuse, including missing portions of fur and a tumor on one of the dog’s legs.
The injured canine was transported to a local animal hospital.

Officials said initial estimates indicated that the dog was left exposed to the weather for approximately one day.
