WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Wethersfield police reported they, Glastonbury police, Manchester police, and regional SWAT were on the scene of an “active incident” Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the incident is in the area of Westwood Drive and that it is isolated to a single residence.
Our partners at the Hartford Courant confirmed that there was a man barricading himself in his own home, threatening to hurt himself with a gun.
Wethersfield Police Chief, James Cetran, told News 8 the man at the center of the incident came out of his home on his own and was taken into custody.
“The incident is over and no one was injured. The subject is getting the help he needs.”
