Torrington man facing armed robbery, larceny charges from Newington bank robbery

Newington police have charged a Torrington man in connection with a bank robbery in July of 2017.

According to Newington officers, 35-year-old Ross Kane, of Torrington, was involved in an armed robbery at the People’s United Bank on Fenn Road on July 5, 2017. Kane, who is already in jail on different charges, was charged with robbery and larceny from this incident.

Kane was detained on a $500,000 bond, and was turned over to Court Marshalls for arraignment on Tuesday.
