COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Three men were injured in a dirt bike crash on West Road Monday night.

Connecticut State police said the incident occurred at 208 West Road — a road on which dirt bikes are not legal to ride. The road was temporarily shut down for the investigation.

CSP reports the crash involved three men: Dalton Lee Nelson, 22, of 208 West Road, Colchester, James Paul Charland, 19 of Colchester, and Joseph Brayden Fuscaldo, 24, of Fairfield.

According to police, Nelson was driving a 2012 Honda CRF 230F with Charland on the back, and Fuscaldo was driving the other dirt bike when the two collided in front of the house on 208 West Road.

None of the riders were wearing safety gear and all were ejected from the vehicles, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Lifestar sent two helicopters to the scene and transported two patients to Hartford Hospital. The third patient was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

State Police are investigating the crash.
