United Healthcare to prepare meals for first responders and people in need

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — United Healthcare and Optum are teaming up with the city of Hartford to prepare meals for first responders, essential employees, and seniors experiencing homelessness in the Hartford area.

The meals will be prepared at the company’s headquarters in Hartford later Wednesday.

The effort is expected to provide 11,000 meals per week.
