Victim identified in deadly Hartford collision


According to police reports, at approximately 11:45 PM, Hartford Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Mather Street. 

Police have identified the victim as 47-year-old Yolanda Santiago of Hartford.  

When officers arrived, they located a Honda Accord and an Audi Q7 SUV with both having received significant damage. 

The Honda Accord was carrying a 36 year female, the driver, and a 47 year old female, the passenger. The Audi Q7 was carrying a 30 year male. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Santiago was transported from the scene by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. 

Both vehicles remained on scene following the incident and are in cooperation with law enforcement. 

Hartford Police Crime Scene Division Detective responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
