Windsor Locks house fire kills pet, displaces 4 people


Officials are responding to a fully involved structure fire in Windsor Locks early Thursday morning. 

According to the Windsor Locks Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to 21 Elm Corners for a structure fire. 

Fire crews say Elm Street was closed between John Street and Volunteer Drive in Windsor Locks during the fire investigation. 

Fire apparatus has cleared the scene and crews have reopened Elm Street. 

Fire officials confirmed that the house fire has displaced 4 residents and killed a pet guinea pig. 

Windsor Locks Fire Department are conducting an investigation on the cause of the fire.
