Woman arrested for car crash death

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) – A Waterbury woman has been arrested for the death of a passenger in her vehicle.

Kasiana Goodman, 24, was arrested by Bristol Police following an October car accident. Goodman was driving a van when she allegedly crashed into the rear of a septic tank truck parked at 477 Waterbury Road shortly before 8:30 a.m. Scott Duell, 68, a passenger in the van, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.On October 9th, Duell succumbed to injuries sustained from the crash.

According to police, it was found that Goodman failed to drive to the left of the parked vehicle and was driving above the speed limit. She has been charged with negligent homicide, traveling at a unreasonable speed, and failure to drive left of a parked vehicle.

Goodman was released on a $10,000 bond and is set to appear in Bristol Superior Court February 1st.
