Hundreds of smoke alarms donated, distributed for Operation Save a Life

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH)– Working smoke detectors save lives, there’s no question about that.

On Wednesday, News 8, Kidde and Home Depot are teaming up on a program called Operation Save a Life to make sure more of our friends and neighbors have them in their homes.

News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons was the emcee of an event in Windsor Locks where he talked more about this incredible effort in the video above.
