Fire breaks out at home in Torrington


A fire broke out at a single-family house in Torrington on Saturday morning, according to police. 

The three-floor house was located inside the Lakeridge condominium gated community near Burr Pond.

Fire crews were called to the scene around 8 a.m.

There were no injuries reported at the scene. 

The Torrington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

The Office is receiving assistance from the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and the Torrington Police Detective Division.

The cause is currently under investigation and as of yet undetermined.
