Police identify 2 people killed in motorcycle collision in Torrington


Torrington police have identified the man and woman who were killed in a motorcycle accident on Goshen Road, near University Drive on Wednesday evening.

According to the Torrington Police Department, officers investigated a fatal 3-vehicle crash at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Goshen Road. Police say that a motorcycle, a pickup truck, and a small van were involved in the accident.

Police say the motorcycle was traveling east on Goshen Road and crossed the center double yellow line near University Drive, then struck the rear quarter panel of a pickup truck followed by the small van head-on. 

Both of the motorcycle occupants died on scene, according to police. They have been identified as 36-year-old Danielle Dubois and 36-year-ol Christopher Massey, both of Torrington.

Both drivers of the pickup truck and van were not injured and are cooperating with the investigation. 

Goshen Road was closed for several hours for investigation and was reopened early Thursday morning.
