Police, K9 units search for missing hiker in Kent

KENT, Conn. (WTNH) — Environmental Conservation and Connecticut State Police are searching for a hiker who has not been seen since Wednesday night.

Campers reported seeing a woman put down her backpack and walk away from it on the Appalachian Trail. She had not returned by daylight Thursday. EnCon and State Police along with K9 units are out searching for the woman according to a spokesperson for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.No other information was immediately available.
