Waterbury man arrested after allegedly attempting to enter occupied vehicle in Oakville

A Waterbury man is facing charges after officials said he attempted to open the door of an occupied vehicle.

According to Watertown police, on April 2nd, an Oakville resident backed her vehicle out of the garage and was idling in her driveway when a man ran up and attempted to open the driver’s door.

The woman then laid on her horn and the man fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.

Following an investigation, police secured an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Robert Harrison.

He was arrested on Saturday and charged with criminal attempt at larceny in the first degree.

Harrison was released on a $10,000 bond and will appear in court on May 14th.
