Winchester police investigate Winsted convenience store burglary

Winchester police are investigating a convenience store burglary.

According to officials, around 3:50 a.m. on Thursday, units responded to an alarm at the Twin Stop Convenience Store at 787 Main Street in Winsted.

Police said they found that the front door had been smashed.

After viewing video surveillance, officers learned that a white man broke into the store, stole various items and fled the scene.
