Washington Street reopens in Middletown after 4-vehicle accident involving fire truck

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) - Police responded to a multi-vehicle accident in Middletown Tuesday morning. 

According to officials, the Middletown Police Department were dispatched to the area of Washington Street and High Street for a 4-car accident. 

Officials say that an accident involving a car, a box truck, a minivan taxi, and a Middletown fire truck has closed Washington Street from High Street to Pearl Street.

It is not known if either of the four drivers sustained any injuries.

The accident has since been cleared and the road was reopened.
