The Civilian Conservation Corps will be honored here in Connecticut in less than two weeks with a statue unveiling.
The CCC provided jobs for young, unemployed men during the Great Depression.
Some of their contributions included forest management and the development of state parks.
The dedication ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 11th at Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth.
It starts at 1:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
