Police identify 3 dead in East Hampton crash

Police have identified three people who died after a car crash in East Hampton on Tuesday.

Officials say the two-car collision happened around 5:50 p.m. on Route 16 near the Salmon River.

The victims of the crash have been identified as one driver, Kyle Hermann, 23, of East Haddam, the other driver, Danielle Jacobs, 29, of Colchester, and passenger Leslie Marshall, 40, of Middletown.

Hermann and Jacobs were pronounced dead at the scene. Marshall was pronounced dead later that night at Hartford Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
