An important school referendum in Haddam and Killingworth on Tuesday night.
People in the district, which covers both towns, voted on whether to adopt a new budget that could close Haddam Elementary School.
Voters said no at the polls, with the budget for Regional School District 17 failing in the referendum Tuesday night, according to The Haddam Bulletin (http://bit.ly/2vN4YX2).
The Board of Eduation needs to go back to the drawing board in the coming weeks and come up with a new budget. That school’s future though, remains unclear at this time.
