Woman and child transported after Jeep hits utility pole in Haddam

A woman and a child were transported to Middlesex Hospital after their Jeep crashed into a utility pole along Jail Hill Road in Haddam Wednesday afternoon.

According to a post on the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company facebook page, the crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

The driver of the vehicle, along with two other adult passengers and one child were able to exit the jeep safely. Each were evaluated on the scene by the Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service while firefighters secured the vehicle.

It is unclear what may have caused the crash.
