Happening on Tuesday, workers at five more Connecticut nursing homes have given notice that they will participate in a possible strike.
More than 600 workers have sent out their strike notices, joining 2,500 caregivers from 20 nursing homes across the state.
They all say they are ready to strike as soon as June 3, and are demanding extra funding in the state budget to cover wage raises for the next two years.
Workers say they did not get raises in 2016 or 2017, and only a 2 percent raise in 2018.
