Murphy begins walk across Connecticut

HARTLAND, Conn. (WTNH) - United States Senator Chris Murphy is starting his walk across Connecticut on Thursday. 

Senator Murphy's goal is to reach out to people and hear their stories firsthand. He will also hold pop-up town halls for the public to participate in. 

Murphy will start is walk in Hartland and walk about 70 miles through 15 Connecticut towns over four days. He will end his journey in the city of New Haven on Sunday July 8.  

This is the senator's third "Walk Across Connecticut".
