Navy awards Sikorsky company with new contract for 6 helicopters


STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stratford-based Sikorsky is getting a new contract from the Navy. The company will build six more helicopters.

They will be used to help the Marines with lifting. Sikorsky is making 24 of these helicopters in total for the Navy.

The first ones will be delivered next September. The latest ones ordered will be ready starting in 2024.
