‘Go New Haven Go’ hosts 5th Annual Car Free Challenge

The city of New Haven is pushing people to go greener and car-free!

‘Go New Haven Go’ is hosting its 5th Annual CarFree Challenge now through September.

The goal is to encourage people to focus on sustainable commuting.

That can be walking, riding a bus or train, or car pooling.

“The important aspect of this initiative is raising a collective awareness about reducing emissions in the city’s overall carbon footprint,” said New Haven Mayor Toni Harp

Bike New Haven is also adding another 200 bikes. That means the city’s bike sharing program will offer 300 bikes for people to use around the Elm City.
