1 injured after jumping out of window during Milford house fire

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– One person was injured escaping a house fire in Milford on Wednesday morning.

Fire officials tell News 8 that at around 9 a.m., a fire broke out at the home on 64 Berwyn Street.

Everyone was able to get out of the home safely, but one person was taken to Milford Hospital for injuries sustained from jumping out of a second floor window.

“Two people were able to get out. The third person was upstairs asleep in the bedroom, benounced to other family members. In turn, jumped out of second story window. He was treated and taken to Milford Hospital,” said Battalion Chief Anthony Fabrizo, Milford Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
