2 adults, 3 children hurt in Wolcott crash

New Haven

Wolcott police are investigating a crash that left five people hurt, two of them in serious condition on Monday night.

The crash happened in the intersection of Valley Road and Todd Road late Monday night. Police say an SUV hit a tree.

Officials say two women were unconscious in the SUV when officers arrived. They say three children in the backseat, ages 8 and younger, were also hurt. 

According to authorities, the adults were not wearing seatbelts and the children were not in car seats or restraints. 

No further details are available at this time.
