2 charged after armed robbery at Wallingford gas station

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people are facing charges after an armed robbery at a gas station in Wallingford on Saturday night.

According to officials, around 7:45 p.m., the incident was reported at the Citgo gas station at 305 Main Street.

The vehicle involved was later found at the Route 15 Southbound rest area between exits 64 and 63 in North Haven.

Police apprehended 31-year-old Dennis Girard of Hartford and 33-year-old Jamie Cacace of North Haven. Authorities added that cash and a facsimile firearm were recovered.

Girard was on parole for a robbery conviction. He was charged with robbery and larceny and will be arraigned on Monday. His bond was set at $250,000.

Cacace was charged with robbery, larceny and other related charges. She will appear in court on Jan. 25th and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
