2 charged following drug bust in Hamden

Two men are facing charges after a drug bust was made in Hamden on Tuesday.

According to officials, units responded to a residence on Winnett Street and arrested 20-year-old Phillip Moye on the strength of an arrest warrant.

This led to the application of a search and seizure warrant at his residence, which police said yielded the discovery of 42 ounces of marijuana, 4.5 grams of cocaine, and a handgun. Authorities later found a stolen handgun as well.

Moye was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, possession of narcotics and other related charges.

Police also arrested 20-year-old Kiveon Hyman, charging him with criminal possession of a firearm, possession of narcotics and additional charges.

Both were detained on bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19th.
