2 teens charged in Shakespeare Theatre fire arrested in Silver Sands trailer fires

Two teens are facing charges in connection to vandalism and container fires at Silver Sands State Park in Milford in March.

According to officials, 18-year-old Christopher Sakowicz and 18-year-old Vincent Keller, both of Stratford, were arrested and processed in Milford for the alleged crime.

Both are facing charges of criminal trespass, larceny and other related charges. The two teens had previously been charged for burning down Stratford’s historic Shakespeare Theatre.

Authorities said on March 24th, units responded to a report of a fire in two storage containers at the park. The flames were quickly extinguished.

Another fire took place and destroyed three buildings at the park five days earlier, but there is no information at this time regarding a connection between the two incidents.

According to the New Haven Register, the pair was also arrested for two arsons in West Haven from February.
