5 WWII veterans honored in Waterbury

New Haven

A special salute took place in Waterbury on Wednesday.

The city honored five WWII veterans for their bravery and service.

All five were made “honorary mayors” for the day.

The Waterbury Veterans Memorial Committee holds a ceremony every year leading up to Memorial Day.
