Arizona man sentenced to prison for possessing 55 lbs of Fentanyl in Connecticut

An Arizona man is heading to prison for driving 55 pounds of Fentanyl to Connecticut.

49-year-old Erick Crespo-Escalante has been sentenced to two and a half years.

He was stopped while driving a tractor-trailer on Route 34 in Derby in December of 2016.

Police found the drugs in the cab. It was one of the biggest busts in US history.

Police say the Fentanyl is worth $1.5 million on the street.
