The 13th year of Waterbury’s very popular “Brass City Brew Fest” has a new theme.
Organizers have renamed this year’s festival to “Brass City Brew & Que”.
The annual fundraiser benefits the non-profit Main Street Waterbury. Their mission is to revitalize the city’s downtown area. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the organization’s year-round initiatives.
On Saturday from 12:00-5:00pm, over 2,000 people from all across New England are expected to gather at Waterbury’s Library Park to taste 250 domestic and international brews from over 125 breweries.
The new addition to this year’s theme means that there will be a Pit Master Competition hosted by Kevin Egan, a member of the New England Barbeque Society. Egan is said to have sampled some of the country’s best barbeque food.
In addition to the competition, several different barbeque food vendors will be on hand.
Several live bands will be performing throughout the day.
