Car crash into utility pole causes power outages in Milford

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A car crash into a utility pole has led to several power outages in Milford on Tuesday morning.

Police say a car crashed into a utility pole in the area of 52 Spruce Street. There are now power outages to several homes in the area.

The road is closed while police investigate the crash.

United Illuminating has responded to the scene to repair the pole and get the power back on. Drivers are urged to use an alternate route at this time.

There is no word on any injuries. It’s also unclear if weather was a factor in the accident.
