Car fire on I-91 South closes lanes near exit 8

New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A car was fully engulfed in flames on the shoulder of I-91 South near exit 8 in New Haven on Sunday afternoon.

As of 130pm, the left two lanes of I-91 south near exit 8 are closed. Fire crews are on the scene.

Two lanes are closed on I-91 south near exit 8 as of 2pm Sunday.

Police report no injuries.

As of 1:53pm, the fire has been extinguished.
