Cars stolen in Guilford after keys were left inside, police say

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are warning residents to lock their cars after a series of early-morning car thefts.

Police say that early Monday morning, two cars were stolen in Guilford Lakes neighborhood. The thieves crashed one of the cars into a telephone pole on North Madison Road.

Guilford police say the cars were easy to steal because the keys were left right inside.

The thieves are still at large.
