Child injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Branford

BRANFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – One person suffered serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 near exit 54 in Branford on Monday afternoon.

Connecticut State Police tell News 8 that Reilly Traynor, 12, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she is in critical condition.Original Story: Injuries reported in multi-vehicle I-95 crash

Some other drivers suffered minor injuries. The crash happened around 1:20 p.m. on Monday.

According to Connecticut State Police, several vehicles had slowed or stopped completely, but a large box truck did not stop, causing a chain reaction of collisions.
