MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A special delivery of flowers on Wednesday, addressed to anyone!
“A lot of flowers being handed out today. Big movement of flowers,” said Sue Palazzo of City Line Florist in Trumbull.
It’s all part of “Petal It Forward” which is going on across the country in every state. City Line Florist is taking part in it all by handing out two bouquets for free to every person they come across. The idea behind it is that the person keeps one for themselves, but then gives one to someone else to brighten their day.
“It has been amazing honestly,” said Nicole Palazzo of City Line Florist. “We got a couple cries, like the emotion is crazy. A lot of hugs. Some people are also afraid because they think there’s a catch.”
“It’s very similar going to the coffee shop and the person behind you in line, you buy coffee for them. We are spreading cheer through flowers,” said Sue Palazzo.
City Line Florist will hand out roughly a thousand bouquets on Wednesday along parts of the shoreline. News 8 was with them as they did just that in Milford.
A team of “happy ambassadors” handing out all the flowers to people on the street, in cars, restaurants — pretty much everywhere. Putting as smile on the faces of countless people. A little bit of kindness that, without a doubt, went a long way.
