Crews extinguish mail truck fire at North Haven gas station

New Haven

It was a scary situation in North Haven on Wednesday morning when a mail truck went up in flames at a gas station.

According to officials, the blaze broke out at the Mobil gas station at 276 Washington Avenue.

Firefighters said they were able to keep the fire contained to the vehicle and that the flames did not spread to any pumps or to the building.

No injuries from the incident were reported.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
