It’s been over 4 months since a line of storms decimated hundreds of trees in Hamden’s Sleeping Giant State Park.
Friday, state environmental crews were doing controlled blasting along the top of Tower Trail to clear debris and widen the path.

A significant amount of clearing has been done over the past few months, but there is still more work to do.There is no word on when sleeping giant will reopen.
