A moving tribute took place on Wednesday to honor survivors and remember the victims of domestic violence.
Wednesday marked the 19th annual Sound of Hope at the Long Wharf Pier in New Haven.

Names were read of those who have died as a result of domestic violence.
At the tribute, flowers honoring victims were each tossed into the water as a sign of remembrance.
