East Haven Police Investigate Possible Skimmer Scam

New Haven

A Lieutenant for the East Haven Police Department announced Saturday that authorities are looking into several complaints involving potential fraudulent credit card activities at gas station pumps.

Several credit card skimming complaints have stemmed from pumps at the Express Fuel located on Saltonstall Parkway.

Although police continue to investigate, they say they haven’t been able to locate any external devices connected to the pumps that could cause a skimming problem.

Police say finding the devices is the first step before they can begin to identify who is responsible for the skimming.
