New Haven

CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — The East Shore District Health Department closed all beaches in East Haven, Branford, and North Branford after Tropical Storm Isaias.

The beaches were closed due to Tuesday’s tropical storm that pushed through. The waters were tested Wednesday.

All beaches in East Haven and Branford were reopened Thursday except for Clark Avenue. The Health Dept. says tests done there Wednesday show high levels of bacteria.

All recreational shellfish bed have also reopened Thursday. Commercial beds are still open, too.
