Families displaced after New Haven house fire

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Several people are without a home after a fire tore through a house in New Haven.

The fire happened on Pierpont Street late Wednesday night.

A family dog went missing but was later found unharmed.

Crews believe the fire started on the first floor.

An exact cause is still under investigation, but firefighters do not believe the fire was suspicious.
