Firefighter injured, 17 people displaced during two-alarm fire in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – One firefighter was injured, and 17 people have been displaced following a two-alarm fire in New Haven on Tuesday.

The fire happened at a three-story home on Sheffield Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said one firefighter was injured, but the injuries were not serious.  

There were 11 adults and 6 children who were displaced.  

Officials are working to figure out what started the blaze.
