Firefighters put out Oxford house fire

New Haven

Fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out in an Oxford home on Thursday morning.

News 8 has a crew on the scene at the home at 614 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, where firefighters have since extinguished the blaze. 

Officials say that out of the two people who live at that residence, only one person was home at the time of the fire. However, no one was hurt. 

While it’s unclear what caused the fire, officials say that it did start in the kitchen.
