HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Hamden firefighters took care of some hot spots in town Sunday.

One brush fire sparked up on Shepard Avenue.

News 8’s Meteorologist Sam Kantrow warns viewers to clean up the dried, fallen leaves in their yards this time of year not only to make it look nice, but to prevent possible brush fires.
