Hamden man arrested for robbery

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A Hamden man has been arrested after a robbery Sunday morning.

According to police, officers were sent to a parking lot on Dixwell Avenue for the report of a robbery. Police say a man was sleeping in his car when the suspect, Jason Brewer,approached the car.

Brewer indicated to the victim that he had a gun, and demanded their belongings. Brewer stole three cell phones from the victim.

Police were able to locate Brewer a short time later in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Morse Street, with all three cell phones in his possession.

Brewer was arrested and charged with robbery and larceny. He is currently being held on bond and is due in court May 15.
