HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Hamden’s Legislative Council approved the appointment of Chief John Sullivan Monday night to police chief of the Hamden Police Department.

Back in December, Hamden’s acting police chief was one step closer to getting the job permanently. Mayor Curt Leng announced the appointment of John Sullivan to police chief then. Sullivan has now been named the current chief of Hamden PD.

Sullivan has been with the department since 1995.
