Hamden PD: 647 tickets distributed to distracted drivers in April

If you don’t think distracted driving is a serious problem, get this from Hamden police.

During a three week period in April, Hamden cops handed out 647 tickets to people using cell phones behind the wheel.

Officers were stationed at various locations around town.

Driver habits aren’t changing; Hamden police did this back in August as well and handed out 635 tickets.
